Training and Development

Channel is dedicated to offering the best training and development opportunities designed to help Channel Seedsmen grow both their knowledge and businesses.

  • Seedsman Ignite – Annual customized training that focuses on sales, agronomy and business growth.

  • The Climate FieldView™ Platform – Collects and visualizes field data, monitors the impact of decisions, and helps you and your growers make adjustments when needed.
  • An Agronomic Team – Channel Seedsmen have access to a trusted team of advisors, including agronomists and expert personnel.
  • Agronomy Library – Expert articles and videos that keep growers informed on the latest data and science impacting their farm all season long.

Financing and Discount Programs

When it comes to making purchases, our attractive offers and discount programs help drive sales and loyalty. Channel farmers have two financing options to choose from:

  • Channel Preferred Financing offered through John Deere Financial
  • 0% Interest Financing through the HarvestPlan program

Digital Tools

    • The Climate FieldView™ platform: Track areas of interest in a farmer’s field through photos, scouting pins and notes. Also use FieldView™ to provide a summary of each Field Check Up Series visit, known as a Custom Crop Report.

    • Seedsman Source: An online, real-time tool that provides insights to help grow and develop your business.

    • Inventory iPad app: Makes tracking, receiving and product delivery easy.

    • Quote Generator: Provides access to the most current pricing and discounts.

    • Population Optimizer tool, available on Provides planting rate recommendations.

    • Seed Finder tool, available on Provides access to recommended products based on zip code, crop and desired trait.
