Channel Seedsman Andrew Phillips from Schaller, Iowa, talks about the benefits of using soybean fungicide applications.
- Soybean fungicide applications can increase your return on investment.
- Applying the application can prolong the reproductive stage and allow some of the seed to fill to their max, creating bushels.
What are the benefits of soybean fungicide applications in your area?
On soybeans, we're becoming much more aggressive on fungicide applications. We are seeing a lot better response between that R3, R4 range on soybeans for return on investment. So a lot of our guys are blanket spraying their soybeans with fungicide, and we're seeing a really, really good response. Anywhere from 11/2 to as much as 8, 9, 10 bushels in certain cases. What we're doing there I think is just kind of prolonging that reproductive stage and allowing, you know, some of that seed to fill to their max, and we're getting the bushels out of that.
