What are your tips for managing northern corn leaf blight?
When you're looking at disease management and things with corn in your rotation, even if it's a corn-soybean rotation or a corn-on-corn rotation, there's potential of getting a northern corn leaf blight disease. When you're looking and scouting for that, you're going to be looking for a cigar-shaped lesion on the leaves. One thing to keep in mind is when you're looking at different products, how do they respond differently to fungicide application or are they able to tolerate some sort of disease pressure from northern corn leaf blight? Each product is different. That's where you need to leverage your Channel Seedsman and their products very, very well. And they can tell you, is it going to be beneficial to spray a fungicide to manage your northern corn leaf blight? Or will it be not cost effective?
